Holy Cross Medical Group (HCMG) and Holy Cross Hospital have an excellent full-time opportunity for a Fellowship trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Gynecologic Oncology physician to join our team located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The selected provider will join five physicians and one APP and will be an integral part of the multi-specialty Women's Center located at the Holy Cross Health Healthplex ambulatory facility. In addition to the Women's Center, the Healthplex houses an Ambulatory Surgery Center, Orthopedic Institute, Diagnostic Center and MediSpa. The opportunity is approximately 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient. Call coverage is 1:1 with physicians covering their own patients only.

This full-spectrum practice treats patients with ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, uterine cancer, cervical cancer, vulvar cancer, vaginal cancer, and cancer-related conditions such as precancerous changes in the cervix, vagina and vulva. Minimally invasive surgery options include laparoscopic and DaVinci Robotic surgery.

The Michael & Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center is located on the beautiful campus of Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. The 60,000 square foot facility houses radiation oncology, medical oncology, surgical oncology, and infusion services. Subspecialty clinics, nutrition services, genetic testing and financial services are provided for all of our patients.

The Comprehensive Cancer Center has an ongoing relationship with Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston regarding Oncology and Cancer Research with more than 49 active clinical research trials. This collaboration allows for integrated care for patients between the northeast U.S. and south Florida on a regular basis. Protocols and clinical pathways are shared between the two organizations in order to ensure continuity of care.

The Comprehensive Cancer Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC), the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and has received certification from ASCO as a Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) practice. The hospital's Comprehensive Women's Center has been designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR) as well as a Designated Lung Cancer Screening Center.

Due to the growing needs of the community, the cancer center embarked on a multi-year, $10M Radiation Oncology Program technology upgrade and renovation. The renovation included installation of a new Varian True Beam Accelerator, new HDR/Brachytherapy equipment and a Varian Ethos Accelerator, while also remodeling the facility.

The hospital also recently started a 2-year $24M OR Renovation to redesign and renovate all OR suites, upgrade the PreOP and PACU areas and integrate new equipment and technology throughout. The OR renovation is slated to be completed in late 2022.

Fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology is required. Candidates with two or more years of experience are preferred.
