The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Arizona/ Banner-University Medical Center Tucson is actively recruiting an additional Gynecologic Oncologist to join our team. Banner Health has invested in growing the clinical enterprise, with a new hospital and expansion of the Cancer Center outpatient facility. Our team of 3 faculty members includes a clinically active associate professor with a focus on quality care initiatives, an assistant professor with a growing focus on clinical trials, and a renowned senior physician-scientist who is the leader of the Gynecologic Oncology Clinical Trials team, and who has also developed and leads the high-risk genetics clinic at The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC). Our division also includes a uniquely trained gynecologist at the crossroads of complex pelvic surgery and gynecologic oncology surgery. The High-Risk program is an opportunity for a faculty member who is interested in genetics, risk evaluation, and research. There is opportunity to grow the surgical areas of minimally invasive surgery and vaginal surgery and will help, in particular, with growing these areas of expertise - clinical trials, high-risk genetics, or vaginal and minimally invasive surgeries. Education of our residents in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology will also be a part of our expectations. The candidate hired will receive a faculty appointment to the University of Arizona commensurate with their credentials.
