Gynecologic Oncology Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team!

What does the Gynecologic Oncology Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) do? The
LPN, under general supervision, provides general nursing care for patients following established standards and practices. Promotes efficient patient flow, assists with patient care. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities: - Provides general nursing care to patients.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids physician during examination and procedures.
- Observes, records, and reports patients condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
- Administers prescribed medications as directed.
- Screens patients for appropriate information.
- Instructs patients in collection of specimen samples for testing.
- Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience: - High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate from an accredited school for practical nursing.
- Position is entry level and requires 0-3 years of experience.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Current LPN state license and registration with the State Board of Practical Nursing in practicing state.
- Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
