Responsibilities Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking an effective and passionate leader to chair the Department of Gynecology. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction for the department in alignment with Mayo Clinic’s vision. The Chair is responsible for driving ongoing performance of the department to recruit and retain outstanding staff and ensuring acquisition and utilization of critical resources to achieve goals in each of the three shields of Mayo Clinic: clinical practice, research, and education.
The selected candidates must demonstrate prior leadership success, robust academic accomplishments, and be aligned with the values of the Mayo Clinic. The candidate must be able to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of clinicians and scientists to optimize patient care quality, experience, and value. Consideration will be given to candidates who hold the academic rank of associate professor or professor.
The Department of Gynecology at Mayo Clinic Florida is comprised of experts across the full spectrum of GYN disorders who partner closely with colleagues in primary care, general surgery, oncology, urology, women’s health, and other specialty areas. This model allows a multidisciplinary approach to each patient’s medical problems and optimizes opportunities for innovative translational research. The Department is actively involved in medical education and sponsors a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
