City of Hope Medical Group Seeks Nationally Recognized Gynecologic Oncologist to Lead the Irvine Team
The Department of Surgery at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking an experienced Gynecologic Oncologist, with a distinguished national reputation, who will contribute their skills in healthcare system leadership by playing a vital role in the development of our Gynecologic Oncology Program for our new cancer center located in Irvine, California. The Irvine campus will include a $1 billion state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer campus.
This position is a rare opportunity to work in a 370+ member integrated, multidisciplinary Medical Group Practice serving an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center in highly desirable Southern California. City of Hope is an expanding institution in both numbers of patients per year as well as infrastructure investment in clinical, academic and research facilities.
Join our nationally recognized team of medical, surgical, and radiation oncology specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical leader and program builder, supported by and integrated with the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at City of Hope:
Provide leadership, support quality and safety, lead and maintain clinical excellence and innovation, and develop clinical, administrative, and clinical research activities for our Gynecologic Oncology Program at our new Irvine campus
Clinical responsibilities to include outpatient and inpatient gynecologic oncology treatment with the opportunity to provide optimal treatment outcomes with compassionate patient-centered care

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology brings together an expert team of gynecologic oncologists and urogynecologists to deliver comprehensive gynecologic cancer care for women at City of Hope and the surrounding community hospitals. Our division is committed to excellence in clinical care, surgical innovation, precision medicine, survivorship, and education. We perform a high volume of complex abdominal/pelvic cytoreductive surgeries and minimally invasive surgeries. Our clinical and laboratory-based research is diverse and focused on drug discovery and development of targeted cancer treatments and advancing new technologies and therapies in the operating room. We work collaboratively as a group to provide compassionate and best in class cancer care.

5-10 years of experience as a gynecologic oncologist with excellent clinical and technical skills and evidence of the ability and desire to build a practice and think programmatically
Experience working in an academic medical center or specialty cancer center that delivers both clinical and translational research to patients diagnosed with cancer, is desirable
Be well versed in the state of cancer care and the latest research and innovations
Academic record consistent with appointment as late Assistant or early to mid-career Associate Professor
The ideal candidate will participate in clinical research and conduct clinical trials
Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and be fellowship trained
The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license
