The Department of Gynecologic Oncology (DGO) at Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a medical/gynecologic oncologist and physician scientist to expand translational research. The successful candidate will continue his/her own independent research in the field of gynecological malignancies, while facilitating interdisciplinary team science, through regular meetings, pilot projects, multi-investigator grants, amongst basic/translational scientists and clinical investigators, both within and external to the DGO. In addition, it is anticipated that the candidate will work closely with the Department Chair to facilitate the development of clinical trials that capitalize on Moffitt expertise in precision medicine, immune and cellular therapy, and evolution of cancer development and resistance.

MRI houses information on more than 500,000 unique patients, including treatment information available from the electronic health records and Cancer Registry on more than 200,000 cancer patients, patient-reported data on 150,000 patients, and vast amounts of research and clinical-grade sequencing and expression data on more than 20,000 patients.
Qualified applicants will possess an M.D. degree +/- Ph.D. degree, science training, and a focus on GYN cancers. Assistant, Associate or Professor Level status. History of recent NIH funding or equivalent. Top-tier publication portfolio as first or senior author in relevant subject areas.
