City of Hope is seeking an exceptional clinical and academic leader to serve as Chief of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology within our highly respected Department of Surgery.

The Department of Surgery at City of Hope is one of the largest surgical departments in the nation, dedicated to the surgical care of cancer patients. With nearly 100 faculty, the department has 10 specialized divisions providing the full breadth of surgical care. Within the department, the Division of Gynecologic Oncology brings together an expert team of gynecologic oncology surgeons and urogynecologists to deliver comprehensive cancer care for women at City of Hope and surrounding community hospitals across Southern California. A training gynecologic oncology fellowship has been approved and the first fellow will start training in July, 2020.
The ideal candidate for this role, will be a board-certified, nationally recognized, gynecologic surgeon with strong leadership qualities and proven ability to grow clinical/research programs. S/He will be a highly collaborative individual with demonstrated experience and ability in faculty management, development, and mentorship.
We are seeking someone who can drive quality, financial, budgetary, compliance, and regulatory efficiencies throughout the division. S/He should also have a working understanding of EHR systems (EPIC preferred) and program development. The candidate should be able to develop the research enterprise within the division and department. Experience with extramural funding and clinical trials is expected.
