Moffitt Cancer Center is internationally recognized for our focus on personalized cancer care and translational research. With a tradition of excellence that began with the first patient admission in 1986, dedicated Moffitt physicians, scientists and staff members have remained committed to excellence in an atmosphere characterized by kindness, caring and hope. This is an advanced specialty training position with individualized learning and experience goals designed to allow the doctor to develop specific advanced skills. These Instructor-Members have completed all required formal training to practice within gynecology or a gynecologic specialty and may bill for some services provided during their autonomous and mentored practice within the Cancer Center. Some of their clinical responsibilities and expectations are similar to those of an Assistant Member. However, some portion of their time is dedicated to additional training within the identified target area (usually, clinical care, surgery and research). The training component is overseen by the Academic Faculty under the direction of the Chair. The tenure is 1 year, but may be expanded in some cases.

The person will practice medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center. The applicant will need to obtain a Florida Medical License. The Department Chair will allocate the position’s effort between clinical, research, educational and administrative activities.
Applicants must have a MD degree or equivalent with completion of a gynecology residency and/or fellowship in another gynecologic subspecialty.

Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is a rapidly growing Center affiliated with the University of South Florida and is committed to education through a wide range of residency and fellowship programs. The Cancer Center is comprised of a large ambulatory care facility, a 206-bed hospital, with a 36-bed blood and marrow transplant program, 15 state of the art operating suites, a 30 bed intensive care unit, a high volume screening program, and a basic science research facility. The Moffitt Research Institute is comprised of approximately 150 Principal Investigators, 58 laboratories, and 306,000 square feet of research space.
