The Department of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor. Responsibilities include sign-out of a high volume of clinical Surgical Pathology cases, translational and/or clinical research and collaboration with departments in the Feinberg School of Medicine, and education and training of medical students, residents and fellows.
Successful candidates will display outstanding diagnostic skill in Surgical Pathology. Subspecialty training and expertise is preferred in areas including Lung, Head and Neck, Endocrine, Bone and Soft Tissue or Genitourinary Pathology. The ideal candidate will also have a record of demonstrated productivity and scholarship in one or more of these areas. The Surgical Pathology division offers subspecialty sign out and works closely with other divisions of the department including hematopathology, cytopathology, neuropathology and diagnostic molecular pathology.
Qualified candidates will hold MD or MD/PhD degrees and be board certified in AP or AP/CP from the American Board of Pathology. Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Illinois. Fellowship training in surgical pathology or other significant experience is required. Rank and remuneration determined by qualifications and experience.
