Full-time Clinical Assistant Professor position in Cardiology/Ambulatory Care at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and Hunterdon Medical Center in Hunterdon, NJ.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and have completed at least two years of residency training with a PGY-2 in cardiology or equivalent experience. Candidates must be highly motivated, innovative, team-oriented, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide patient centered care with a commitment to teaching, service, and professional advancement. Board certification is preferred. Eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of New Jersey is required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The clinical pharmacist for the Ambulatory Care – Cardiology position is responsible for working with the Cardiology Clinic located within Hunterdon Medical Center. They will be responsible for working on a multi-disciplinary team within the cardiology clinic. The clinical pharmacist is expected to provide comprehensive care to the clinic patients. The patient population will consist of heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and other cardiac patients that providers determine require a pharmacist consult. This position is expected to work in collaboration with the clinical pharmacy team as appropriate and will also be responsible for educating pharmacists in training, pharmacy residents, and other health care professionals.
