The Medication-Use Safety Policy (MUSP) Residency Program at KFSHRC is a 12-month training that is designed to develop a health care practitioner with advanced skills in the practice of medication-use safety, formulary management, and drug information services. The resident will participate in drug information and medication safety activities such as medication safety initiatives, medication error and adverse drug reaction review, medication-use evaluation, drug shortages, and non-formulary medication processes. The resident will have the opportunity to participate in teaching, medication safety and formulary committees, investigational drug services, and conduct a pharmacy research project. The program can be customized for each resident based upon residents’’ interest and previous experiences.
Special Requirements for Acceptance: Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy, completion of an accredited PGY1, Saudi citizenship, eligible for pharmacist licensure in Saudi Arabia within 3 months of starting the program, and passing of an admission examination and an interview. Applications submitted must include academic transcript, curriculum vitae, a 1-page letter of intent, and 3 letters of recommendation.
