Residency Special Features: This residency provides the resident the opportunity to work with kidney/pancreas, liver, and heart/lung transplant recipients within inpatient and outpatient settings. Throughout the year, the resident will participate in different required core transplant rotations. Elective rotations include hematopoietic stem cell transplant and pediatrics. Residents will have the opportunities to participate in P&T committee tasks as well as teaching (experiential and didactic) of both students from affiliated COPs and PGY-1 residents. Furthermore, the resident is expected to conduct a transplant-related research project and provide a written manuscript with a potential for publication.
Special Requirements for Acceptance: Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy, completion of an accredited PGY1, Saudi citizenship, eligible for pharmacist licensure in Saudi Arabia within 3 months of starting the program, and passing of an admission examination and an interview. Applications submitted must include academic transcript, curriculum vitae, a 1-page letter of intent, and 3 letters of recommendation.
