North Hennepin Community College, one of the largest and most diverse two-year colleges in Minnesota seeks an experienced professional to serve as Unlimited, Full-time, College Social Worker.
The College Social Worker exists to provide a range of professional social case work services to North Hennepin students, such as interviewing students to gather social history information relating to presenting symptoms, coordinating counseling and other resources for students who are experiencing difficulty in fully accessing their education. The goal of this position is to assist students in overcoming specific barriers through programmatic efforts and referral to supportive services within the college community and the larger community in which the campus resides. This position coordinates activities and resources in the Community Connections Resource Center and Food Cupboard.
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Human Services.
Social Work Licensure with the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
Experience developing techniques to meet the needs of the diverse student client population.
One year of experience working with professionals in higher education and community agencies.
Experience preparing complete social histories, case plans, and reports.
Master's degree in Social Work or Human Services.
Three or more years working as a Social Worker or Human Services worker with adult populations.
Working knowledge of FERPA and data privacy laws in higher education.

Salary: Beginning Salary $19.90/hourly ($41,551/annually) - $28.78/hourly ($60,093/annually) depending on education and years of related experience.
