Department Description This full-time position will provide outpatient comprehensive clinical social services to family members and their significant others at UC Davis Health in the Departments of Otolaryngology, Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. In the Department of Otolaryngology (40%) this will include providing pediatric services to the UCO Cleft and Craniofacial Program, CoChlear Implant Program! Plagiocephaly Program, Aerodigestive Program, and adult services to the Head and Neck Oncology Program. In the Department of Pediatrics (40%) this will include services to all Pediatric Specialty Clinics, and in the Department of Internal Medicine (20%) this will include services with the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program.

Required Qualifications
Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the California Board of Behavioral Science.
Skills, knowledge and ability performing psychiatric and psychosocial assessments on pediatric/adult/geriatric populations.
Knowledge of suicidal behavior, the ability to assess lethality, and the ability to develop appropriate treatment plans.
Knowledge of legal requirements and guidelines for providing psychiatric services including the appropriate use of 51/50.
Experience within a Trauma/Emergency department.
Experience within an acute medical hospital, mental health setting and/or health care clinic.
Knowledge of child abuse, elder abuse, and domestic violence reporting requirements, and other significant legislation and laws regulating social work practice, i.e. Tarasoff, patient confidentiality.
