Applications are invited for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level faculty position in the area of Genitourinary (GU) Medical Oncology , with a focus on prostate cancer laboratory translational and clinical research.
The successful candidate will have an appointment within the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, Knight Cancer Institute of Oregon Health & Science University, a NCI Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Portland, OR.
It is expected that candidates will work collaboratively both across clinical disciplines and with basic scientists on campus. They will be expected to have clinical activities primarily in prostate with an opportunity to see non-prostate GU cancers. They will join a robust clinical and translational program in GU oncology with many avenues for collaborative clinical research through OHSUs leadership and membership in: the DoD-funded Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials Consortium, the Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer SPORE, and SWOG, the Group Chairs Office of which is headquartered at OHSU. These collaborative networks provide unique opportunities for an investigator to engage with world class investigators across the country and deploy research ideas across multiple world-class centers.

Candidates will lead translational research and therapeutic clinical trials to move the field of prostate cancer research forward. In this position, there is the opportunity to work with other members of the GU medical oncology team, other clinical specialties such as Urology and Radiation Oncology, and Knight Cancer Institute basic scientists with expertise in Genomics, Immunology, and Cancer Biology. The appointee is expected to have clinical activities primarily in prostate cancer with an opportunity to see other GU cancers.
MD or equivalent or MD/PhD
Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon
Board certified in Internal Medicine
Board eligible/certified in Hematology and or/Medical Oncology
Training and experience in genitourinary oncology
History of collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
History of success in obtaining extramural funding for genitourinary oncology research
