The Pharmacy Residency Program (PGY1) at M Health Fairview St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN is a twelve-month program consisting of core and elective learning experiences that are tailored to the resident’s interests.
Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1853, St. Joseph’s was Minnesota’s first hospital. It is located in downtown St. Paul, MN, and provides 234 beds. The pharmacy department and new hospital tower were constructed in 2008 and are state of the art facilities that utilize advanced technologies to deliver patient care. The St. Joseph’s Department of Pharmacy employs pharmacists and technicians dedicated to patient care and the development of others.
This residency program offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with highly qualified pharmacists while gaining experience in many areas of hospital practice.
Residents will develop expertise, knowledge and skills in a broad range of therapeutics through direct patient care and contribute to an interdisciplinary health care team offering patient-specific interventions to optimize drug therapy outcomes. Each day will bring an opportunity to build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and develop clinical skills.
