About Our Lady of the Lake RMC
Our Lady of the Lake (OLOL) is the largest private medical center in Louisiana with over 800 licensed beds. In a given year, OLOL treats over 35,000 patients in the hospital and over 350,000 patients at outpatient locations in an eleven parish (county) service area. OLOL continuously seeks ways to ensure a diverse scope of treatments, technologies, and resources for the community. OLOL’s acute care capabilities are the most comprehensive in the region and are designed to meet the needs of the complex patient. The emergency department is the busiest in the region with over 100,000 visits last year. Since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, OLOL has adjusted to extreme changes in health care delivery mechanisms and physician graduate medical education.
