The purpose of CAMC's PGY1 residency is to prepare clinical pharmacists for direct patient care positions or to pursue PGY2 residency training in a specialized area of practice. Pharmacists completing the PGY1 residency at CAMC will be competent self-directed learners possessing leadership and professional skills with the confidence and ability to excel in diverse practice environments.
Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy
Eligible for licensure in the state of West Virginia
PGY2 Applicants must have successfully completed a PGY1 Residency in Pharmacy Practice
Residency requires a specific set of minimum physical, mental, emotional and social abilities necessary to be successful. Residents must possess all of the abilities listed in the five categories outlined in this policy (See CAMC Staff Handbook D, page 8-10 for detailed discussion of standards).

of this program is to provide residents with an extensive range of pharmacy practice experiences tailored to meet individual needs and interests. This is accomplished through clinical and non-clinical rotations of five weeks in length.
