Department Name: H3330:Pharmacy Services Job Summary: This Cardiology Clinical Pharmacist will provide comprehensive, patient centered pharmacotherapy primarily in the inpatient cardiology population, including therapeutic drug monitoring, drug regimen recommendations and review, patient education, and medical staff interactions. Some opportunities to provide care to cardiology patients in the ambulatory setting may also be an opportunity in the future. This position will be expected to uphold UK Healthcare core values and maintain effective teamwork with pharmacists, residents, technicians, interns, physicians, nurses, allied health staff, and others. This position may also have an opportunity to provide educational services to pharmacy students, residents, pharmacists, physicians, and nurses through precepting, in-service presentations, and didactic teaching at the College of Pharmacy, contribute to the scholarly productivity of the enterprise through clinical research, quality improvement. Skills /Knowledge/Abilities: Strong clinical skills; knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; team mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position. Position Time Status: Full-Time Required Education: BS Required Related Experience: No experience required. Required License/Registration/Certification : LICENSED PHARMACIST Preferred Education/Experience: PharmD degree preferred. ASHP PGY1 residency and/or PGY2 specialty residency preferred.
