The University of Texas - Southwestern Medical Center is comprised of an academic medical centers over two campuses, three outpatient cancer infusion centers, one ambulatory infusion center, six retail pharmacies and a specialty pharmacy. UT Southwestern offers a PGY-1 pharmacy residency experience in an exciting and expanding healthcare system. Core education experiences in clinical pharmacy practice through rotations including acute care, critical care, infectious disease, cardiology and practice management. Elective rotation options include solid organ transplant, hematology/oncology, ambulatory care, informatics, medication safety and many other learning experiences. Additionally, longitudinal experiences include staffing, research project, drug information, and pharmacist-run anticoagulation clinic. Our pharmacist staff consists of more than 50 board certified pharmacists to service our patients.

Application requirements include participation in PhORCAS, including letter of intent, College of Pharmacy transcripts, three letters of reference, CV and eligibility for Texas licensure. Minimum GPA 3.1. |
