Position Number: 13502, 13503 School/College: School of Medicine Job Description: The UAB Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is actively recruiting for faculty positions at all levels of rank and academic track to join our team. Current needs for the division include physicians with a focus in GI Motility and Functional Bowel Disorders as well as and Hepatology and pediatric liver transplant. Candidates focusing on careers as physician-scientists or clinician educators will be equally considered. A track record of quality investigative/clinical work and program development is preferred. Motility and Functional Bowel Disorder Program Hepatology and Pediatric Liver Transplant The division offers a full array of clinical services and programs, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. provides comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation and management of all pediatric gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional problems. These may include such common conditions as inflammatory bowel disease, liver transplants, metabolic diseases and nutritional disorders. Multidisciplinary patient-centered care is the focus of the Division. Close interaction with Pediatric Surgery, Radiology, Pathology, Anesthesiology and Nutrition services provide ample opportunity for optimizing patient care. Special interests of the division members include GER, abdominal pain, motility disorders, liver disease, lipid disorders, functional GI disorders, childhood obesity, and inflammatory bowel disease. Rank and salary will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate and will consist of a guaranteed salary as well as a generous incentive plan linked to productivity.
