Department Description The Pharmacy Department provides comprehensive pharmaceutical services (unit dose, IV admixtures, clinical services, infusion pumps, pharmacy technology, and teaching) throughout the Health System 24 hours per day. The Department is comprised of three inpatient, six outpatient pharmacies, a sterile production lab, and the full complement of pharmacy purchasing, stores and distribution. Staff consists of professional and technical and administrative support personnel. In total, the Technician Supervisors are responsible for 52 Career technicians and 23 per diem technicians.

They provide quality and cost effective pharmaceutical care to patients, employees and medical staff of UCDMC. A Staff Pharmacist is an integral member of the health care team, responsible for drug therapy monitoring at the point of order review, drug distribution, drug information, precepting pharmacy students and residents in the area of pharmacy distribution, conducting clinical research, participating in Department and Hospital Committees, task forces and work groups and fostering excellent interdepartmental relationships.
California Pharmacist License.
Clinical pharmacy training or experience.
Computer skills that facilitate medication order entry and other basic clinical software programs.
Work experience in an Inpatient Pharmacy Setting.
ACLS or PALS skills.
This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
