The goal of the Community Pharmacy Residency is to systematically train pharmacists to accelerate their growth beyond entry-level professional competence in the areas of patient-centered health care as well as pharmacy operational services in the ambulatory community clinic setting.
The applicants must meet the following requirements:
? Eligible to work in the United States
? Have a Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE- accredited institution
? Eligible for pharmacy licensure in the state of Texas

PRIMARY PRACTICE SITES
The CPRP will be a multi-site residency program where the resident’s primary office will be located in the Department of Pharmacy Practice within the TSU-COPHS Pharmacy Building. The COPHS will maintain office space for the resident and provide an adequate work space, computer, chair, telephone, a locked file cabinet and supplies upon request. The resident will have access to common work areas which include printers, copiers, and fax machines in addition to a faculty/staff lounge for breaks and lunches. The res...ident is expected to spend approximately 15% of his/her time at this location and be responsible for any transportation and parking at this or any other site during the residency. 70 percent of the resident’s time will be spent at practice sites, San José Clinic and the remaining 15% will be utilized to complete rotations, research, projects, and community activities as assigned.
