Barnes-Jewish Hospital is the primary adult teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine and is widely recognized as one of the top tertiary care medical facilities in the world. The hospital has over 1000 beds. Residents will work with over 30 clinical pharmacists in a variety of specialties. The program is designed to provide a broad pharmaceutical care experience. Required rotations include internal medicine, critical care, infectious diseases, and Drug information/Administration. Residents have the opportunity to choose from a variety of electives including but not limited to oncology and transplant. A residency research project will be completed, drug policy experience is gained through committee participation and a teaching certificate program is offered through St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
