YNHH PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership
Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) is a tertiary care hospital in the Yale-New Haven Health System. YNHH centers of excellence include oncology, pediatrics, orthopedic, cardiology, and women's health. YNHH serves as the primary teaching site for Yale University Schools of Medicine and Nursing. New Haven is located on the shoreline of Connecticut (Long Island Sound), a two hour drive from New York City and Boston. This PGY2 residency program is designed to support pharmacists interested in pursuing high-level managerial, supervisory, and leadership positions in an institutional pharmacy practice setting. Areas of instruction include financial systems and human resources management, pharmacoeconomics/outcomes research, and health systems operation and design. Residents will gain experience implementing pharmacy management theory and build a strong foundation for continued growth in management and leadership skills. The resident will have the opportunity to participate in a teaching certificate program and serve as a preceptor for students and PGY1 pharmacy residents.
