Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) is a tertiary care hospital in the Yale-New Haven Health System. YNHH centers of excellence include oncology, pediatrics, orthopedic, cardiology, and women's health. YNHH serves as the primary teaching site for Yale University Schools of Medicine and Nursing. New Haven is located on the shoreline of Connecticut (Long Island Sound), a two hour drive from New York City and Boston.
Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital (YNHCH) offers a traditional, one-year specialty residency in pediatrics. YNHCH has a comprehensive level IV neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric cardiac intensive care unit, dedicated pediatric emergency department, cystic fibrosis center, transplantation center, comprehensive epilepsy center, pediatric specialty infusion center, and pediatric primary care center. Opportunity exists for the resident to work collaboratively with pediatric intensivists, neonatologists, specialty physicians, midlevel practitioners, nurses, and clinical pharmacists in pediatrics and neonatology. Teaching opportunities include clinical teaching of PharmD students and PGY-1 residents as well as didactic lectures to students in health professions. A wide variety of electives allow the resident to tailor their interests and career goals.
Applications are accepted via Phorcas and must include a CV, letter of intent and 3 letters of recommendation. Successful completion of PGY1 residency required; Must be eligible for Connecticut licensure.
