Munson Medical Center’s Post Graduate Year One Pharmacy Residency Program is a one-year training program in a diverse in-patient healthcare practice setting.
The program provides experiences in a variety of settings, focusing on the core areas of practice specified in the ASHP Accreditation Standards including patient care and practice management.
Munson Medical Center started its pharmacy practice residency program in 2004. The program underwent an initial American Society of Health-System Pharmacists accreditation visit in July of 2005 and was granted accreditation in April of 2006. The program originally started with a single resident, and has expanded over recent years to accept five PGY-1 residents annually.
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited College or School of pharmacy or B.S in pharmacy degree with two years of hospital experience.
Must be a Registered Pharmacist in Michigan or eligible to take and pass the Board of Pharmacy licensure exam within two months of starting the residency.
