The Clinic Director/Nursing Supervisor reports to the Student Health Services (SHS) Executive Director and is the senior manager responsible for day to day clinical operations at Cowell Student Health Center (CSHC).
The Clinic Director/Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of the nursing staff comprised of Clinical Nurses (RN's) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) as well as the three Assistant Directors for Clinical Operations, Patient Support Services, and Clinical Support Services.
The Clinic Director/Nursing Supervisor facilitates teamwork among the multi-disciplinary staff and takes a leadership role in health center programming and strategic planning. This position is a member of the Student Health Services executive management team. Student Health Services is a full service medical facility offering clinical, educational, and psychological services to students on the UCSC campus. SHS is supported by an operating budget of $20 million. This position is specifically responsible for managing an operating budget of approximately $2 million.
The Clinic Director/Nursing Supervisor is required to comply with operational mandates from UC Office of the President for system-wide compliance required of Student Health Centers. The Clinic Director/Nursing Supervisor is also required to comply with all regulations mandated by AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care) to maintain AAAHC Accreditation.

SHOP (Student Health Outreach and Promotion): Director, Senior Health Educator and Health Educators
CARE (Campus Advocacy Resources and Education): Director, CARE Advocates, Prevention Education Coordinator, Intake Coordinator
Student Health Center Clinic, Medical Records and Reception: Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Quality Management Director, Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, Clinic Director/Nursing Supervisor, Nurses, Assistant Clinic Directors, Medical Assistants, and Patient Support Staff
