PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency

The informatics residency (PGY2) is a 12-month program designed to foster knowledge and appreciation for the potential advantages and limitations of new technology used to gather and disseminate information within the practice of pharmacy in a vertically and horizontally integrated health care system. Residents completing the program will gain experience with implementing pharmacy management objectives, drug-use policies, investigational services, pharmacy operations, clinical and decentralized pharmacy services and meeting financial goals through the use of technology.

If accepted into the program, the individual must obtain a valid license to practice pharmacy in the State of Virginia. The successful applicant must possess exceptional knowledge, communication skills and leadership qualities. |
