Denver Health is excited to offer five residency programs: ASHP-accredited Postgraduate Year PGY-1, ASHP-accredited PGY-2 Emergency Medicine, ASHP-accredited PGY-2 Critical Care, ASHP pre-accredited PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residencies, and ASHP pre-accredited PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Residencies.
Denver Health is a one-of-a-kind learning environment as one of the primary teaching hospitals in Colorado and is an academic Level 1 trauma center in Denver. These programs provide a wide variety of experiences designed to develop knowledge and expertise in integrated clinical pharmacy practice and medication stewardship, with a strong focus on leadership skills.

Denver Health is home to the Rocky Mountain Regional Level 1 trauma center, Level 2 pediatric trauma center, Denver Public Health, Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Information Center, and Denver Health Managed Care to name a few. The Department of Pharmacy has academic affiliations with the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Regis University School of Pharmacy. The hospital has a computerized electronic health record and automated distribution system, centralized unit dose and IV medication preparation areas, and decentralized clinical staff pharmacists.
