The postgraduate year one (PGY1) Pharmacy Practice residency builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training. Additionally, the resident will be mentored in the development of pharmacy leadership skills that will serve the graduate well in a variety of integrated healthcare systems. It is the overarching goal of the program for the graduate to be successful in multiple practice environments and build upon their foundation for enrollment into advanced training programs.
Applicants should follow all requirements specified by Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) and participate in the National Matching Service. Requirements include: academic transcripts, a letter of intent, curriculum vitae and three references (one at least must be from a clinical preceptor).
