The Blue Cross NC PGY1 Managed Care Pharmacy Residency is a 12-month training program to build upon the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and develop pharmacists to practice proficiently in the managed care setting through a focus on leadership, patient care, and clinical management. Key experiences include pharmacy operations, policy development, network management, drug information, pharmacy and therapeutic committee, pharmacy benefit management and other opportunities.
