Also, located at AdventHealth Tampa is the renowned Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research. We are expanding our pharmacy through increased clinical pharmacy services, decentralized pharmacist presence, advanced pharmacy specialists, and technology utilization. In addition, we serve as a practice site for some of the University of South Florida College of Pharmacy faculty.
This PGY-1 program provides a comprehensive exposure to clinical and administrative components of hospital pharmacy practice in a tertiary care hospital. This residency allows for flexibility to fulfill the special needs and interests of each resident with the goal of providing a broad-based hospital pharmacy practice experience. We strive to provide the experience and learning opportunities to allow residents completing the program to continue into additional training programs, academia or clinical practice.
Applicants must be graduates or candidates for graduation of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited degree program (or one in process of pursuing accreditation) or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). In addition, applicants must be eligible for pharmacist licensure in the State of Florida.
We are accepting applications for 2 PGY-1 resident positions via PhORCAS until January 3, 2020, and require a letter of intent, curriculum vitae and 3 letters of recommendation utilizing the PhORCAS template as well as transcripts from all universities attended. Applicants must participate in the National Matching Services process.
