St. Mark's Hospital PGY1 Pharmacy Residency is a 12-month program offered to two residents in a variety of clinical practice settings including cardiology, critical care, infectious disease, internal medicine, medical/surgical, and management. Rotations are about 6-weeks in duration or longitudinal throughout the year with schedules accommodating special interests and areas for improvement. Residents will obtain their teaching certificate through St. Mark's association with Roseman University. They will have many opportunities to teach from informal in-services to formal lectures for pharmacy students as well as medical, nursing and pharmacy staff. Additional staffing is a necessary part of the learning experience with requirements of about four shifts in a 4-week schedule period.
Graduates of this program will be confident, self-directed learners who have acquired the leadership, teaching and professional skills needed to excel in diverse practice environments.
