The Community Medical Centers Multiple-Site PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Community Regional Medical Centers in Fresno, CA and Clovis Community Medical Center in Clovis, CA provides training in a wide range of advanced pharmacy practice areas including: critical care (medicine, burn/surgery, trauma, neuro), emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, oncology, pharmacy administration, hospital operations, drug information, drug-use policy, public speaking, and teaching. Residents are provided with opportunities for rotations throughout our integrated health system. Residents are matched to a home-base site (3 at Community Regional and 2 at Clovis Community) for required rotations.
Community Medical Centers is partnered with the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program and other universities. Community Regional Medical Center is the teaching and research hospital with services including Level 1 trauma care, regional comprehensive burn center, Level 3 neonatal intensive care, and a Neuroscience Center of Excellence. Clovis Community Medical Center is an acute care community hospital with services including oncology, critical/intensive care, telemetry, general surgery, Level 2 neonatal intensive care. Both medical centers serve as teaching sites for student pharmacists from UCSF School of Pharmacy, UOP School of Pharmacy, and CHSU College of Pharmacy.
