Department Name: H5000: CHANDLER - RETAIL PHARMACY
Assist the Pharmacist in managing pharmaceutical care workload in the Retail Pharmacy setting. Assists pharmacists in medicine preparation and distribution for the KY Clinic Pharmacy or future discharge or retail pharmacy sites operating under University of KY Pharmacy Services. Fills prescriptions in a busy retail based setting. Assists Pharmacy Revenue Integrity Manager with all Medicare and commercial insurance audits for Retail Pharmacy dispenses. Pharmacy resource for proper billing procedures and maintenance of patient records on site. May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Requires attention to detail and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Must be reliable and punctual. This position also requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively communicate.

Kentucky Board of Pharmacy Registration PTCB Registration
Two years of previous work experience (in a related field). Prefer previous pharmacy tech experience or work/classes in medical field. Hired candidate must maintain state licensure in good standing. Must have 2 years of full-time (or pro-rated) pharmacy technician experience and must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
