Butler University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences and Community Health Network are excited to offer a one year PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Specialty Residency for 2020-2021. This residency is designed to provide both clinical teaching and practical experience in the inpatient, ambulatory care, and university settings.
Inpatient Family Medicine*

Advanced Ambulatory Care
Academic responsibilities include didactic teaching at Butler University, leading Therapeutics case conference, precepting pharmacy students on general medicine and ambulatory care rotations, and participating in various committees and faculty development opportunities. Didactic lecture opportunities are available in the pharmacy and physician assistant curriculums.
Rotations are highly flexible, allowing the resident to tailor their experience to their unique objectives and career goals.
Additional responsibilities include clinical staffing every fourth weekend, completion of a longitudinal residency project, poster presentations at a national meeting, and presentation of research at the Great Lakes Pharmacy Residency Conference.
Community Health Network/Butler University PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Program participates in the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS). Interested candidates must utilize this service to submit all application materials, including:
Letter of intent
Three letters of recommendation (Please utilize PhORCAS form with emphasis on the narrative sections with areas of strength and improvement. A formal letter is not needed.)
Valid pharmacist license
Completion of an ASHP– accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency
Candidates who match with the program will also be required to complete an online application for employment with Community Health Network.
