PGY2 health-system pharmacy administration and leadership (HSPA) residency builds upon PGY1 residency graduates’ skills in the delivery of patient-centered care and in pharmacy operational services. This prepares the resident for high level managerial and leadership responsibilities. Areas focused on include safe and effective medication management systems, quality assurance/control, management of human resources including recruiting, financial stewardship, technology in healthcare and leadership strategies.
During the residency year, a combination of block and longitudinal learning experiences will be utilized. These experiences are variable in length, often overlap, and may be adjusted as needed.

VitalWatch provides Health First’s critical care physicians, nurses and pharmacy specialist the ability to monitor real-time vital signs, laboratory results and complete electronic medical records of patients in various intensive care units at all four Health First hospitals from a central location.
As the only state-accredited Level II trauma center in Brevard and Indian River counties, the Trauma Center offers 24/7 care with rapid patient transport via First Flight aeromedical helicopter.
The qualified applicant must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and must either possess or be eligible to obtain Florida Pharmacist Licensure. Applicant must have successfully completed an ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency. All offers are contingent upon a background check, reference check and pre-placement health assessment, which includes a drug test. If selected for an on-site interview, a presentation will be required as well as evaluation of patient and clinical team interaction.
