The PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital is designed to provide immersive emergency medicine training in a fast-paced academic Level I Trauma Center. The strong support of pharmacy services by the Department of Emergency Medicine, as well as research and teaching provides a strong multidisciplinary team. The resident will receive a volunteer faculty appointment with the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy to lecture and precept students.
Doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school or college of pharmacy
Eligible for New Mexico pharmacist licensure
Completed a PGY1 residency
About University of New Mexico Hospital
The University of New Mexico Hospital is the primary teaching hospital for the state of New Mexico. UNMH is also the only level I trauma center in the state and also serves portions of northern Arizona and southern Colorado. In addition, UNMH is the county hospital for Bernalillo County and is a primary stroke center along with an advanced ECMO program. This diverse patient population makes providing pharmaceutical care to patients a unique and challenging opportunity.
