The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy is designed to develop pharmacists with a high level of skill in providing direct patient care to diverse patient populations. The residency includes direct patient care experiences in both the inpatient and ambulatory care settings, with an emphasis on ambulatory populations. Graduates of this program have been successful in ambulatory care, inpatient, and academic environments.
The residents participate in the provision of direct patient care at three main sites, Wellington Regional Medical Center, the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center, and an indigent ambulatory clinic. Participation at each of these sites provides diverse experiences that equip the resident to be a well-rounded, adaptable practitioner.
