Piedmont Athens Regional residency program provides pharmacists with the knowledge, abilities, experience and critical thinking skills necessary to become a competent pharmacy practitioner. Residents will have learning experiences in adult medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, ambulatory care, antimicrobial stewardship, neonatal and anticoagulation services. Piedmont Athens Regional provides an integrated practice experience with a certified ACGME Internal Medicine Residents. Residents will also help precept students from The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy.
Graduates of ACPE accredited Colleges of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia may submit the following materials via PhORCAS to the program director for consideration of residency program admission:

The Department of Pharmacy employs 75 staff including 30 pharmacists. The pharmacy operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Pharmacists are located throughout the facility, the emergency department, ICU and ambulatory clinics
