PGY1 pharmacy residency programs build upon Pharm.D. education and outcomes to contribute to the development of a clinical pharmacist responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency.
This PGY-1 residency prepares role model practitioners for clinical pharmacy positions in community hospitals. The resident will optimize medication therapy for patients by routinely providing oral and written drug information to other health care professionals.
