Jackson Hospital and Clinic PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency
Pharmacy residents completing this residency program will be capable of providing compassionate and proficient direct patient care in a community hospital practice environment. The resident will practice alongside highly-skilled pharmacists providing pharmaceutical care in internal medicine, cardiology, critical care, nutrition support, infectious diseases, emergency medicine, ambulatory care, and pharmacy leadership and administration practice. Multiple elective rotations are available and can be individualized. The resident will be a part of various multidisciplinary teams and committees. In addition, the resident will participate in educational activities of Pharm.D. students from Auburn University and Samford University, medical students from Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, nursing staff, and pharmacy staff at Jackson Hospital and Clinic.

The pharmacy resident applicant must be a graduate from an accredited pharmacy school and be eligible for licensure in Alabama. The applicant must submit:
