The program has over 25 years of experience in developing competent pharmacists in a community hospital environment. The resident is trained in a variety of core rotational and longitudinal learning experiences including internal medicine, surgery, critical care, geriatrics, drug information, informatics and pharmacy practice management. Electives include infectious disease, behavioral health, pain management/hospice care, emergency medicine, oncology, teaching certification and others. Additional activities include research project, poster presentations, regional conference presentation and publication.
Eligibility for Kentucky licensure, academic transcript, three letters of recommendation, formal letter of application, curriculum vitae.

St. Claire HealthCare is a regional referral center in northeastern Kentucky serving a population of over 160,000 with inpatient services, medical and surgical specialty clinics, family medicine clinics and home health/hospice services. St. Claire HealthCare is an established training site for various physician residency programs and healthcare disciplines.
