The UIC College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, are proud of the over 40 year history of training post-graduate pharmacists in clinical service and research through our PGY1 and PGY2 residencies as well as our clinical research fellowships. A traditional PGY1 residency, a PGY1 international as well as PGY1 community-based residencies are offered. PGY2 residencies in health-system pharmacy administration and leadership, ambulatory care, cardiology, critical care, emergency medicine, HIV, oncology, pediatrics, and solid organ transplant are offered. Research fellowships in academia/family medicine, infectious diseases, and pharmacovigilance and patient safety are also offered.
For all programs, a PharmD degree and IL pharmacist license are required. For PGY2 programs, successful completion of an accredited PGY1 program is required.
