Graduation from accredited Pharmacy Technician School preferred Â
High School Diploma or GED required
At least 1 year of oncology experience preferred
Performs dose calculations, double checks accuracy of product selection and assures performance of both aseptic and hazardous drug compounding techniques that require the use of a USP797/800 compliant clean room and personal protective equipment to reduce exposure and contamination while maintaining sterility of the final product
Pharmacy Technician Registration with California State Board of Pharmacy.
Fire and Safety Certification.Â If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.Â
The pharmacy technician position is responsible for preparing medications for patient consumption under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist and in accordance with standard departmental procedures.
