Description The Pharmacy Department provides comprehensive pharmaceutical services (unit dose, IV admixtures, clinical services, infusion pumps, pharmacy technology, and teaching) throughout the Health System 24 hours per day. The Department is comprised of three inpatient, six outpatient pharmacies, a sterile production lab, and the full complement of pharmacy purchasing, stores and distribution.

Qualifications REQUIRED -Valid California Pharmacist License -PGY-1 Residency -Previous experience in Ambulatory Care Clinic
PREFERRED -Certification in area of specialty (e.g. National Certification Boards for Anticoagulation Providers (NCBAP)) or Board-Certified Pharmaceutical Specialist (BCPS) or Board-Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP) -PGY2 or additional certification

Responsibilities The Staff Pharmacist II, Per Diem provides quality pharmaceutical services to the patients, employees and medical staff of UCDHS. The Staff Pharmacist is an integral member of the health care team, responsible for drug therapy monitoring, distribution, drug information, and precepting pharmacy students and residents, conducting clinical research, participating in Department and Hospital Committees, task forces and work groups and fostering excellent interdepartmental relationships.
