The Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine at Stony Brook Medicine is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor to join a busy academic practice with an established history of excellence. Candidates must have completed an accredited Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology and be Board Eligible/Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. New York State License or eligibility for one is required. Minimally invasive surgery experience, including robotic, as well as clinical/translational research experience, is mandatory.
The Department has faculty in each of the recognized specialties and an accredited residency. The faculty is active in all areas including clinical care, research and education.
The Division currently includes three gynecologic oncologists and a physician assistant, as well as clinical and research support staff. The Division is a parent site for the NRG Oncology and has multiple affiliates.
Stony Brook University Hospital is a 591-bed tertiary and quaternary care hospital that recently underwent a $500 million expansion. With the approval of the NY SUNY 2020 Challenge Grant to the University and receipt of the largest gift to public higher education in the State of New York, Stony Brook Medical School has embarked on a transformational expansion of the biomedical and clinical research enterprise. A new 250,000 sq. ft. Medical and Research Translation (MART) Building that will house the new Cancer Center is scheduled to open spring, 2019.
