This Social Worker Psychiatric Services will be responsible for:
Working with attending psychiatrists on the service to provide care to boarders on inpatient medical and surgical floors.
Daily comprehensive re-evaluations of the patients to determine if they still meet inpatient level of care.
Developing treatment plans for the patients and families while they board.
Developing safety plans for the patients while in the medical bed and work with interdisciplinary staff to educate and train in the safety plan.
Handling individual crisis intervention/short-term evidence-based treatment with patients.
Facilitating communication between patient and family; education of family about inpatient level of care, hospitals, etc.
Coordinating with Resource Specialist to facilitate transfer to inpatient facility when found.
To qualify, you must have:
A Master's degree in Social Work, and LCSW or LICSW is required.
Strong clinical skills and experience with various therapeutic modalities.
Spanish language skills are a plus.
This position is every other Saturday & Sunday, 8 hour day shift. (8AM - 4:30PM)
