Exciting full-time position available for experienced LICSW on our 12 bed CBAT unit at Boston Children's Hospital @ Waltham. Clinical care on the unit is divided among two multidisciplinary teams. The unit serves children 8-17 years, many of whom have co-morbid medical problems, e.g. eating disorders, neurological disorders, etc. The unit emphasizes family-centered care.
This Clinical Social Worker, Community Based Acute Treatment Program (CBAT) will be responsible for:
Providing short-term individual and family therapy to patients aged 8-17 at BCH's Psychiatric Community Based Acute Treatment Program (CBAT).
Coordinating clinical care with a multidisciplinary team.
Conducting patient and family assessments, providing individual and family therapy, collaborating with collateral contacts, and case management for discharge planning.
To qualify, you must have:
A Master's Degree in Social Work. LICSW licensure in Massachusetts.
A minimum of 2 years post-graduate MSW experience preferred.
Experience in a mental health inpatient or acute setting working with children, adolescents and families is ideal.
The ability to independently carry cases while working well within an interdisciplinary team model.
